Let us count the ways you can get to THATCamp Languages at Michigan State University:

  1. You can fly into LAN, about 15 minutes from campus by taxi.
  2. You can fly into DTW and take the Michigan Flyer to East Lansing (about a 2-hour bus ride in comfort with wifi and free bottles of water).
  3. You can take a train and arrive just on the edge of campus. Train conveniently leaves from Union Station in Chicago and takes about 4-5 hours. You can also catch a train from Detroit, Kalamazoo, Ann Arbor, and Grand Rapids.
  4. You can take a bus and arrive just on the edge of campus (Amtrak and Greyhound/Megabus station are in the same location).

  • Detroit: 90 minutes
  • Kalamazoo: 80 minutes
  • Grand Rapids: 70 minutes
  • Hogwarts: 16 hours, depending on mode of transportation
  • Chicago: 3.5 hours with no traffic (ha.)
  • South Bend: 2 hours 15 minutes
  • Bloomington: 4.5 hours
  • Columbus: 4 hours
  • Dayton: 4 hours
  • Madison: 6 hours (don’t go through downtown Chicago)
  • Seattle: 34 hours (bonus points for driving from the West Coast)
