I'm a German professor at MSU. I teach courses on 20th century and contemporary literature, film, and cultural studies. My research focuses primarily on East German and post socialist studies, questions of gender, representation, voice and subjectivity. I'm interested in geographical representations of individual and cultural identities, autobiography, and cross-cultural memory studies.
